One Piece Cassette, 4 Speed, Black

One Piece Cassette for the new compact gearing system on Brompton P-Line and T-Line. 

At Brompfication we really like the new gearing system on the P-Line and T-Line Brompton's. So much in fact, that even though the number of bikes with the new gearing system are few, we decided to make a one piece cassette just to push it a bit further.

The cassettes are CNC machined from one single block of aluminum, making it both lightweight and strong. The cassette has the same gear ratio as the original cogs, with a 11 - 13 -15 -18T configuration. It has multiple surface coatings for increased durability, however please keep in mind that aluminium cassettes do wear down faster than a Cr-Mo cassette.

The cassette comes with a cassette lockring in aluminium and a 1 mm spacer that can replace the plastic chain guard. The weight of the 4 speed cassette is 33 grams including the lockring, and saves 47 grams over the original. Replace the plastic chain guard with the included 1 mm spacer, and you’ll save another 12 grams. 

 

Shifting performance and longevity of an aluminium cassette are greatly affected by the state of the chain and cassette, so keep the drivetrain clean and lubricated. Adjust the gearchanger perfectly to ensure best performance and long life, and make sure that the chain is in the proper position before applying power.
