This seatpost is part of our Edition [Base] line, components that stay close to Brompton’s original design language while offering functional or material upgrades.
This Black Titanium Seatpost undergoes a PVD coating process, a vacuum-coating technique that applies a thin yet exceptionally durable coating.
Our 585mm length Penta Clip Seatpost maintains a similar effective length to Brompton's extended seatpost.

Titanium Seatpost with Penta Clip Installation Guide

Installation Steps:
Removing the Saddle and Original Seatpost:
- Start by removing the penta clip and saddle from your Brompton bicycle to access the seatpost.
- Open the Seat Clamp Quick Release (QR).
- Slide the original seatpost out from the frame's underside.
Cleaning the Seat Tube:
- Clean the seatpost tube and sleeve thoroughly to remove any dirt and surface rust. This preparation ensures a smooth installation for the new seatpost.
Installing the Seatpost Bung (Optional):
- If desired, insert the Brompton seatpost bung into the bottom of the titanium seatpost at this stage.
Inserting the Titanium Seatpost:
- Insert the titanium seatpost into the seat tube from the underside of the frame, then secure it by closing the seat clamp QR.
- Install the Pentaclip and Saddle on the New Seatpost: Follow the manufacturer's instructions to attach the penta clip and saddle to the titanium seatpost.
Final Check:
- Double-check all components for secure fitting and proper alignment to ensure a comfortable and safe riding experience with your new titanium seatpost setup.
