The significant improvement lies in the redesigned tensioner arm, now pivoting around a bolt directly mounted onto the rear hub axle. This redesign allows for a sleeker profile, eliminating the bulky base and creating a seamless flow along the tensioner arm's lines.

Each chain tensioner undergoes over 2 hours of precision CNC machining. Crafted from 6061-T6 aluminum—an exceptionally high-grade alloy—it embodies a balance of lightweight design, strength, and stiffness. Weighing a mere 124 grams, including the spring and pivot bolt, it's only slightly heavier than the plastic version, making it one of the lightest aluminum chain tensioners available for Bromptons. Included is a stainless steel spring, replacing the original, and a titanium pivot bolt.
